The ease and cost with which one can build their own home is surprisingly good.

Despite what you might think, prefabricated and modular homes have a number of benefits in terms of construction. One of the most appreciated advantages that sets them apart from traditional constructions is that they are faster to build. They also have the point in favour of being more economical, with modern designs and use of environmentally friendly materials.

The housing project we're showing you today looks very simple on the outside, but has enough space and design details that set it apart from traditional construction. If it caught your attention, come and look!

Define materials and cement

Another factor that also convinces buyers to opt for prefab is that they use simple, less expensive, but also ecological materials in search of reducing their carbon footprint. For some people this is important as well as being a differentiating factor that makes the difference when choosing your future home.

Once you've decided on the materials and specifications that include construction, it's time to get down to business. An important step is the foundation. Do not forget that the whole weight of the house will fall on the foundations, so this first step is very important. The stroke, leveling, compaction, and above all quality materials are what you need to start your project.

Construction location

Whether or not it's a fast-made house is also crucial for those looking to have one. Sometimes you have the terrain and you want a construction that does not involve a lot of months of waiting.

The first step before thinking about the plans will be to choose the right place to assemble the different modules or panels. Are you clear where you want to build your home? Be sure to choose a uniform ground and consider many other aspects, such as the location, the neighborhood, the scenic views, the price of the land, and so on.

Define the plans and study the details

While there are designs of all kinds, in the last decade people have been inclined to more modern and less classic models. In this quest for differentiation and to have the new, much has been given to the construction of houses of straight and simple lines, many in the cube style.

Once the location has been determined, it is important to draw the construction plans. The ideal is to have the help of a professional, who can be the same supplier of the prefabricated elements and help us understand the plans.

Raw materials

Another important detail is that prefabricated houses are lighter, cheaper, and more ecological than other homes, especially the materials we use in their construction. And in this sense, wood is the preferred material to build this type of home. Contemporary, versatile, elegant, easy to work with, and above all else, good value for your money.

Once inside, you can see that the living and dining room occupy the same common space. This helps a lot to connect areas and people. As we mentioned, the house uses a neutral colour palette, both in furniture and on the walls.

Choosing the arrangement

Come sunrise or sunset, when building a house, getting the position just right for the optimal amount of natural light is a very important factor. This will influence the layout of your rooms. Do you like to wake up to the sun at dawn? Then the bedroom should be located in the East wing of the building, maximising both light and heat.

Dimensions of the home

Consider all dimensions of the house, not just the square metres. The square metres of a home indicate the floor area, but they say nothing about vertical height. Some prefabricated homes have lower ceilings compared to traditional homes, so inspect the dimensions carefully.

This information will also help you to distribute the rooms in order. Know which room is the bedroom and which the living room for example.

Consider expenses

When buying a prefabricated house, be sure to include in your budget the extra expenses for construction and electrical work, kitchen equipment, extensions, etc. Most manufacturers do not include these basics in kitchens and bathrooms. So you will have to make your own quote with professionals in your area.
