Today on homify we have yet another stylish interior by Paris-based interior design firm BlackStones. Working across the commercial and residential design sectors over many years, they have developed a flawless design finesse and unique style. They establish a close relationship with both the context and the client's needs and wishes to create novel solutions for each of their project.

This particular abode is very generous as far as apartments go, comprising 140 square meters. And every single inch of the home has been paid the utmost attention to detail. From the finishes to the furniture selection and everything in between - the design is considered and thoughtful. Masterfully weaving the old bones of the home with contemporary art and other features, the designers have combined traditional charm with all the bells and whistles of modern living.

Old world details

From the parquet floor to the ornate ceiling cornices—and let's not forget the ceiling rose—every single junction in this home retains the original detailing, masterfully restored. It is a level of detailing one would really see in the minimalist-inclined homes of our times.

Old and new

These ornate details have been restored to their full glory and sharply contrasted by the modern elements. It's a delightful juxtaposition of old and new. Contemporary art pieces are scattered throughout the interior and bold modern furniture pieces don the odd splash of colour.

The dining area

The open plan living space offers the best in free-flowing spatial design, yet the dining area still manages to achieve a sense of separation. The large blue artwork is a bold feature that visually anchors the space; while, orange, a complementary colour, has been selected for the dining chairs to dramatically contrast the blue. Everything else remains white and minimal. It's a striking arrangement.

The kitchen

The orange hue is carried into the kitchen and is used for the benchtops. The cabinetry stands tall and minimal with a glossy white finish and the design is crisp and rational. Lighting has been employed to full effect, dramatically highlighting the design of the cabinetry and creating a futuristic atmosphere.

The bathroom

The bathroom is similarly sleek and contemporary. The walk-in shower has a wall of seamless glass separating it from the rest of the bathroom. The vanity dons an avant-garde design and a floating mirror hovers above. There is a hint of the futuristic aesthetic in this space, too.

From start to finish, in each and every space of this home, the design team brought their skills and taste to the task of creating a beautiful interior. If you enjoyed your tour today, you may also like to take a look here: An old post office is reimagined as a beautiful family home.
