When it comes to designing smaller spaces, no one does a better job than our professionals here at homify. It takes just the right know-how to construct an interior space with enough light, room, and accessories to make the perfect living environment.

Today's project shows us just what the interior architect Laura Pujol was able to accomplish with just 100 square metres of space. By mixing elements and combining the old with the new, our professional was able to create an airy and stylish home of pure delight and comfort.

So, are you curious yet?

Mixing the old with the new

Our first look into the home gives us a good impression of the amalgamation between older and newer trends. The kitchen brings in all the modern flair we could ask for with up-to-date appliances, smooth and sleek surfaces, and more than enough functionality. Alongside the modern kitchen, we are introduced to exposed and restored wooden furniture in the living room.

Further into the living room

Moving through the kitchen, we find ourselves further in the living area, where we can take notice of the brilliant use of colour and decoration. To amplify the light coming through the two balcony doors, a neutral colour palette was used, and plush furnishings help to  soften the atmosphere.

But perhaps one of the most interesting features of this space and this home is the undulating ceiling which casts riveting shadows across the folds and protrusions.

Looking back

Looking back at the kitchen and dining areas from the living room, we can fully appreciate the open plan home. Scandinavian furniture sets decorate the area and are a great complement to the white and wood. Small spotlights on the ceiling stretch the length of the kitchen corridor for optimal illumination any time of day.

The bedroom

In the bedroom, an ambience of balance and tranquility fills the room. Decorated with only a single work of modern art, this space plays upon the minimalist mindset, making it a calming and restrained area. The room isn't without its bold features, however. In the midst of all the white and grey, we have stark black elements for contrast.

A sweet, en-suite bathroom

What we love most about this small home is its use of space. No square metre of this home was left unattended or without purpose, and a wonderful example of this is the design of the en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom. Separated from the sleeping area by two large sliding sheets of transparent glass, the room doesn't lose any visual space, but gains a practical room. As we have seen in each area of the home, comfort and style were not spared, but sought-after and perfectly implemented to create a bright and calming home.
