With each and every home tour we take you on, we have the hope that you will find something inspiring that fits to your unique personal style, and our project today is definitely no exception to that.

With the passing of each year, it seems that more and more homeowners and renters stick with matte or monochrome themes for the home, and although we understand the desire and ease of this choice, we can't exactly say we agree with it all the time. When it comes to decorating, plain colours are the easiest to coordinate, but when you lack interesting elements, your space becomes dull and boring for you and your guests. But the interior architects at Prego Sem Estopa have an entire home chalk full of colour for all of your inspirational needs!

The land of stripes

To kick-start our tour, we're taking you to the living room where we see a wonderful assortment of different colours and patterns. Dark and light blue hues are strikingly fresh against a white palette, and the bright green and yellow accent cushions bring in even more tones to this modern space.

But colour isn't the only bold feature this home has to offer. Pattern matching isn't an easy task, but these professionals pulled it off beautifully. The stripes and zig-zags in this space coordinate perfectly because they have the white backdrop to balance it out.

Coordinating rooms

In the next room over, we have the dining area, which exhibits the same striped pattern as the living room. This design helps to make spaces feel connected and to establish harmony. A large mirror was placed on the far wall to create the illusion of a bigger space, too.

Switching it up in the bedroom

After seeing the blue hues of the living and dining room, we make our way to the master bedroom, where different patterns arise. Decorated in the Parisian style, this room appears sober without losing any style. Bright lime green is the colour of choice here and was used almost all of the decorative items, except for the wallpaper, which is in a brilliant light blue, slightly ornate diamond pattern.

In addition to the obvious textiles and furnishings, house plants are used in almost every room as a decorative item. Our plant here is located in the small office just adjacent to this room. They help to bring oxygen and new energy to each space, and here they even amplify the colour palette.

Even more quirky designs

Now let's make our way to the nursery, where we get another completely different atmosphere. The room is full of bright colours and fun toys that help foster imaginative play for hours on end.

Normally, red and light blue aren't the best colour combinations, but here they look great together and it's all because of the right amount of colour balance. Red, as the more extreme and stimulating colour, is kept as the accent colour, while light blue takes up most of the room. Blue on the walls and in the furnishings joins this space together as the perfect play area.

One last difference

Our last stop is the bathroom, and even this room can't remain dull or lifeless. Green tiles give the room unique character, and matched with white outfittings like the sink and toiletries ensures that the bathroom doesn't become too overwhelming with stark colour. And as the perfect coordinating accent, our designers placed a few large leaves in a delicate vase. This home proves that colour and design are welcome and wanted in each and every room of the home.
