What does an ideal home look like?

The answer would undoubtedly vary from person to person accounting for individual taste. However, there are certain attributes that most of us would include in our dream residence: space, natural light, privacy and ample outdoor areas being a few.

By these criteria the home we’re touring today comes pretty close to the ideal property. Granted its modern style may not be to everyone’s taste, but the astonishing design includes all the aforementioned features and more. Let’s take a look…

Privacy is paramount

The home’s striking façade of dark grey tones protects the interior from prying eyes, with virtually nothing in the way of street-facing windows.

Amazing on every level

As you can see, the rest of the home is an entirely different story! To the rear of the property we find a beautiful sheltered patio space with an outdoor dining table. We also get a look at the home’s key design features: an abundance of glass opening up almost every space in the home to exterior views and natural light, and multiple terraces with outdoor space on every storey.

Removing barriers between spaces

Here on the home’s highest level we can appreciate the view the surrounding area provides, and astutely the architects have not let it go to waste! Wall-to-wall glass around the dining room ensures panoramic hilltop views with every meal.

Modern minimalism

The kitchen is the epitome of modern minimalist design with concealed storage creating a clean, elegant space. The home’s interiors are fantastically bright with white dominating the décor and enhancing the effect created by the expansive windows.

Fluid spaces

As we have seen the kitchen and dining room are connected in an impressive open-plan design, and if we continue on past the dining room we arrive at the equally astonishing living room. Sliding glass doors leading to the terrace outside completely remove the barrier between indoor and outdoor space creating a fluid environment throughout the home, as one room seamlessly moves into the next.

Surreal study

The design of the study is surreal but spectacular! An eye-catching, eccentric rug defines the minimalist space, but the panoramic view of the surrounding countryside is what makes the room so special.

The best way to start the day…

As we’ve come to expect from this magnificent minimalist home, the bedroom benefits from wall-to-wall windows that allow the occupant to wake up to amazing views every morning.
