The kitchen is that part of the home that is always abuzz. Here everyone comes together to cook, eat and drink or simply spend a nice afternoon tea which is why incorporating a table or bar which can accommodate two or three people would be a nice addition to the kitchen.

Whether you are dealing with small or big kitchens you would want to check out the different designs that could inspire you to have one installed too. We want to present these 11 designs, which have succeeded in integrating a kitchen counter despite the challenging dimensions.

1. Counter with an industrial look

What a unique kitchen! See how the wall is embedded with exposed concrete and open pipes, making the colored kitchen cabinets extra noticeable. The worktop, clad with gray stone has a charming extension from the kitchen counter to a corner bar area. So you can take a seat near the kitchen, and have a snack or help out in preparing the food. To match, a set of puristic wooden stools can be pulled out.The design and the wood tones also match the industrial style and the cozy parquet floor.

2. Infused bar counter and center island

This counter radiates a very modern design with the worktop covered in stainless steel. But thanks to the many wooden elements in the kitchen, the dining table and the noble wooden floor is able to balance out the frigidity of the bar top, making it very inviting. Ultra modern style can also be perceived from the black bar stools, which harmoniously match with the hanging lamps with an Industrial vibe.

3. Eye-catching Red!

This U-shaped kitchen is open on two sides. The minimalist design of the pure white high-gloss kitchen is so impressive. A long, narrow bar is installed around two sides of the U-shape to make room for the occupants. Pairing it up with six designer chairs with bright red color, a cheerful contrast in the otherwise white kitchen.

4. Light as a summer breeze

A touch of mint green: this minimalist kitchen in white provides a fresh ambiance, creating a light and airy impression. Here, too, the kitchen and worktop were designed in a U-shaped design. The bar is again the extended arm of the counter. From the two mint green cool stools, the house residents can look directly into the interior of the kitchen. Encouraging an opne communication between the chef and the guests. To match, there is also a retro-style refrigerator that is also brandished in mint green color, similar to the stools on the opposite side.

5. Rustic coziness

In this small and narrow kitchen we find wooden elements which adorn the kitchen with a rustic design. Only walls and the counters have been designed in white. The four bar stools that can be found under the long counter space fashion a leather and wood combination. The table extending from the workspace to the small bar counter area.

6. Color contrasts

This small blue-white kitchen is also designed in a U-shape. However, our experts have solved the integration of this dining table differently. The white minimalist table also extends the U-shape here, but was deliberately lowered, so we find here a classic table two dining chairs. There is also a small drinks fridge next to the dining table for easy access. Above the table are three hanging lamps that generously illuminate the dining space.

7. Classic and modern

In the next example, we look at a kitchen, which comes in a classically homely design. Due to the lack of space, our kitchen planners have simply taken the large dining table and incorporated it completely into the kitchen—placing a portion of the work surface with the connected to it. The white lacquered wooden panel offers a wonderful warm contrast to the wooden table. The upholstered designer chairs exude a noble touch.

8. Playful romance

Pure romance! This kitchen shows a more playful side in design. The kitchen can be a nostalgic space, the aromas created here can conjure feelings and memories from our childhood, which is why our experts have simply installed the small dining table in the kitchen so that the the host and the guests get to share more fun times. With four bar stools, you can comfortably have breakfast in front of the large window. The white lacquered kitchen cabinets and the white brick wall create a country-style touch that offer a great contrast to the work surface in lacquered natural wood.

9. Extended work table

See how the integration of the bar was able to divide the kitchen from the living room. This kitchen presents itself in the beautiful Beach House style, which we find to be perfect for tropical countries. White kitchen with a set of furniture that combines warm wood elements such as worktops and the wooden floor that unifies the entire look. The bright rattan bar stools are also perfect beach style flair that elevates the design of the kitchen.

10. Futuristic look

Why not try an asymmetrically counter and bar area? Because in this kitchen everything is different than we know it otherwise. Our kitchen planners have simply installed two counters—not just at different heights, but also in different forms. The bar also has two levels, the one at the rear bar has a triangular shaped table, while the other one is set on a lower table and is oval-shaped. Here again three stools can be placed. Here, we find a kitchen that would perfectly fit a bachelor pad.

11. Follow the U-shape

Let's finish our tour with a modern kitchen sign. Because here the space for a table was very limited, our experts have only integrated a small table with two chairs. But it is enough for a small meal. And even if you do not need the bar, together with the red hanging lights and some fresh flowers from the garden, it is a great eye-catcher for every day!
