Renting or buying a large size apartment is not always possible. That is why one needs to make do with whatever space is available. The interior decoration of a small apartment can be way more challenging than you might think. To make it a little convenient, you can take inspiration from designs and layouts available online. In case you do not want to end up spending hours on research, then this ideabook might be helpful. Here you will be able to find the complete tour of a small apartment located in Delhi. It gives you an idea of how to make a compact house functional as well as modern looking.

1. Fully functional kitchen

We start the tour with the kitchen which is considered to be an essential room in an Indian house. The designer has opted for a grey and white cabinet theme which gives it a modern look. Besides, the use of stainless steel appliances also adds to the overall appearance. To make the area fully functional, the designer has added as many storage units as possible. The floor of the kitchen has been lined with white marble so that it does not clash with the grey counters.

2. Dining area

Incorporating a full-size dining area is not always possible in a small house. For the exact reason, the designer has installed a small island which also acts as a dining table. It is sufficient to accommodate two people comfortably.  A cabinet has been created right next to the island to store dinnerware. It has a metal shutter instead of traditional cabinet doors which allows the owner to save space. The depth of the cabinet has also been kept less so that it does not jut out.

3. Closet and dressing room

The owners of this apartment wanted to dedicate an entire room to wardrobes and the dressing area. The room showcases two full-size floor to ceiling cupboards which prove to be enough for storing personal belongings. Right in front of the wardrobe, a customized vanity has been created with additional drawers and storage. The designer opted for dual-tone wood to make the furniture stand out. The floor has also been lined with wood to showcase harmony

4. Hallway

The area between the main entrance and the rest of the house has been turned into a beautiful hallway. On one side of the room, there are cupboards which follow the same design pattern as the dressing room. However, on the other side a small seating arrangement has been made to entertain guests. The designer has followed a wall to wall layout strategy so that the hallway looks spacious.

5. Entrances to other rooms

In this picture, one can see two doors on either side of the vanity cabinet. These are the entrances to the bathroom as well as the bedroom. Both the rooms have been entirely separated from the dressing area. It is done to provide complete privacy to the users of the other rooms.
