Mr. Unnikrishnan's Residence is located Urban Forest, Whitefield, Bangalore. The home was designed and executed by Design Space, Interior Designers & Decorators in Bangalore. The home is quite spacious and has a lot of space to move around. The interiors have been kept minimal and elegant, with no overcrowding and clutter. The entire space has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the modern family, modern design trends and especially utility. Let’s take a tour of the house.

The open layout

The most striking thing about the first look at the residence is the open layout. The incredibly spacious apartment has been decorated sparsely in order to preserve the open nature of the space. The minimal décor is also very tasteful, so it is a treat to look at the space. The white flooring adds a unique sort of elegance to the overall look and décor. The home, as can be deduced from this frame, is poised to be filled with some unique design and décor elements, stylish structures and some very inspirational design ideas. We love the how the designers have used walls so seamlessly and blended them into the overall décor and design.

The modern kitchen

Let us take a closer look at the kitchen. The kitchen is also quite spacious, with the outer perimeter holding the wooden kitchen island. This island, while providing an extra workspace, also works as a separator between the kitchen and the living area, without compromising on the open space. We love this concept of using partial separators. There are three rose gold metal lamps lighting up the island, with additional lighting inside the kitchen. The wooden furniture is elegant and the white cupboards mounted on the wall add a beautiful contrast. Lastly, we see the open shelves that are incorporated into the design on one side. This again doubles as a separator without actually limiting the open space.

Elegant wooden furniture

The wooden furniture was custom made for this home. The client specifically requested that the designer create furniture that matches the layout and their vision of the home. Therefore, the first step was to carefully pick out the grain of wood to be used. Then, the type of polish was decided. The polish used here is quite light, since the designer did not want the darker polish to overpower the entire design. This particular structure is actually a temple, and it was designed keeping its location in mind. The geometrical design incorporated into the structure is quite beautiful.

Design details

The design details in this home are incredible. Each custom-made furniture piece impresses us. This beautiful piece is a set of drawers, placed by the entrance. The dual height allows for one to function as a seating area. The white and wooden contrast looks elegant. The white flooring, visible here as well, is gorgeous and stylish.
