In this day and age, there are a variety of different architectural styles flourishing thanks to globalisation and the Internet. From chic modern masterpieces, to cosy contemporary homes and charming Scandinavian design, there’s more than ever to choose from when selecting a new home. With this being said, there is a certain elegance associated with the more established old homes built by our forebears in design. In fact, it’s not so easy to construct and design a new home that possesses the same air of elegance as these classic beauties do.
Today, however, we have found a truly gorgeous and elegant estate in Argentina by Aulet & Yaregui Architects. From the whitewashed exterior and in-ground pool, to the decorous blend of furnishings, this is a truly tasteful abode! We hope you’ll join us for a closer look.
There is something just so jubilant about this beaming white exterior. The box-like structure may be somewhat modern, but it certainly exudes the same grandeur of a fine colonial estate. Its simplicity is intriguing, and we’re dying to take a closer look at what’s inside!
The front door yields to this classic and sophisticated entryway. The doors, walls, floors and ceilings are done in white, which creates an airy and expansive feel. The choice of well appointed furnishings and décor are what really makes this space feel so elegant. We love the wooden table and antique mirror in particular.
The sitting room certainly maintains many of the same characteristics as the entryway. The light walls and furnishings give the space an appealing sense of softness without being overly feminine. Again we see a pleasant mixture of antique and contemporary furnishings.
One of the most defining features of this space is the large set of windows, which open out to the patio. They allow plenty of natural light to permeate the room.
The master bathroom is quite minimal in style. The large mirror enhances the sense of spaciousness we get from this room. Interestingly, the shower is situated in its own small room off of the main area, as is the toilet and bidet.
Meanwhile, there is an interesting built-in shelf that extends from the washstand. The green colour accents complete the look.
Around back, there is a large in-ground pool. We wouldn’t expect anything less from this regal abode. The presence of the pool, porch, and pergola, are ideal for combatting some of the dry Argentinian climate. The trees create a natural barrier of privacy from the neighbours.
