Today’s example, a renovation project, is no exception…

A bit of background

4D Studio’s very own Martyn Kemp took charge of remodeling this 1600 sq ft apartment located in Coleherne Court in Chelsea, London. As per the client’s wishes, a beautiful refurbishment was kick-started in order to give the interiors a brand new (and much more modern) outlook on life.

The apartment, which is one of no fewer than 213 luxury listings, is located in a sought-after building set in the Little Boltons built between 1901 and 1904 in red brick and Portland stone. One of the building’s most famous past residents is none other than Lady Diana Spencer, who lived here before marrying the Prince of Wales.

Part of the brief was to provide spacious new accommodation to the interiors, including a bigger master bedroom, two striking reception rooms, luxurious bathrooms, and a modern kitchen for those who love dabbling in all things culinary.

The welcoming living room

As the neutral colour scheme worked so perfectly in the kitchen, it was decided to continue with it here in the living room, albeit in a more earthy tone. Sparkling-white walls and ceilings go to great lengths to make these interiors seem even more spacious and welcoming, while a decadent dose of sunshine (and garden views) flood indoors thanks to the generous windows and French doors in the back.

The bathroom

Since the bathroom is not the most spacious ever seen, some creativity had to be implemented to make the most of the limited legroom. The results? A whole lot of character and visual charm in the form of patterns and textures, yet a subtle colour palette in order to make the entire space seem calm and collected.

Don't overlook the ample storage space and modern heated towel railings adding to this modern bathroom's convenience.

The shower room

Expertly mimicking the winning ingredients of the aforementioned bathroom is the shower room in its crisp and clear (modern) glory. Notice the expertly placed lighting fixtures to up this space's commitment to handiness and functionality.

The master bedroom

Even though it's of the modern style, we can clearly distinguish a touch of classic design in the main suite's new look—those wingback chairs with their ornate designs, to mention one example!

Also take note of the less-is-more look that helps to make this bedroom seem bigger than it truly is. Who says you can't have fun with interior design while completing one amazing project simultaneously?
