Treadgold Street was a refurbishment project of a mid-terraced house in London. The main concept was to build a new side return extension and to reconstruct an existing rear extension in order to create a new kitchen and dining space.

Full planning application was submitted and approved prior to the construction. Old side return was incorporated into the main house by using velux roof lights and opening up of the existing kitchen wall. Rear extension was rebuilt to allow for new glass roof and windows. The Client’s brief was to create a countryside style kitchen, but with a modern twist. New kitchen was selected in a pale blue and white wooden finish and imported to London from Spain. The backsplash was finished with white metro tiles and a light grey grout to match the colour of the cabinets. Kitchen worktop was made from off-white corian. Same colour was chosen for 600x600mm floor porcelain tiles. A wood-burner, which was installed in the new conservatory, with a custom built log storage and some vintage furniture helped to create a desired feeling of being in the countryside.
