The restaurant is situated in Wapping Wharf, in the heart of a buzzing area of the Bristol docks. It had to stand out amid an array of cafes, and its owners were determined to avoid a muted, minimal modern interior. As far as they’re concerned, their food is about loud, vibrant flavours, and they wanted the restaurant interior to reflect that.Among the features is a shipping container that had to be deconstructed in order to fit through the entrance, and then rebuilt inside. Oil drums were used to create interesting focal lighting, and part of a wall was built from them too. A concrete wall displays a logo that was acid-etched into the concrete, and we commissioned murals from a local graffiti artist.
