This beautiful country property dates back to the 16th Century and is listed as a Historic Building of Kent. The Tudor parts of the house have exposed beams, uneven walls and floors and other features such as prison bars and slightly spooky one legged man door knockers. There are also two large extensions from Victorian and Georgian times which give the house numerous large rooms with high ceilings and windows.

The challenge of the full house refurbishment was to retain the different periods’ character and yet create a seamless flow that would also take into consideration a modern family lifestyle. The owner’s personal taste and love of antiques was always prioritised over trends and provided opportunities to scour antique shops, markets and auctions for interesting pieces which made the house elegant, unique yet traditional.
