Atelier BAU is an architectural design office in Japan, which was founded in 2004 in Ehime Prefecture, Matsuyama City. Our mission is to provide design solutions and enhance the value of spaces, architectures which lead to improvement in smart environments and the human health.
Shinobu Nakao is the founder of Atelier BAU, has been experienced many projects, and shared commitments to deliver many aspects of architecture. We believe that architecture influences spaces, human in many ways in terms of ecology, history, urban environment and so forth. Therefore, we ought to have a common goal to design spaces. Moreover we ought to think of an impact that brings a new relationship between people and spaces.
The success of the office is rooted to achieve design excellence, smart design solution and researching many cases that advance technological, sustainable methods in architecture. We also collaborate with expert researchers, and share knowledge through professional learning opportunities.
The office has been recognized regionally, nationally and internationally as we participate in many competitions so that we are being offered many projects. (We are a member of the Ehime Society of Architects & Building Engineers.)
