Clean lines, high quality finishes define Dr Das's residence in Bengaluru. As one enters into the drawing space the double height quality of the living space is instantly felt by a cut-out. A long wooden panel ties up the drawing area with the living above. The guest bedroom flanks the entrance while the dining space leads onto the kitchen and a roomy verandah far beyond. A bright effervescent screen in white separates the drawing and dining areas. It is punctuated by coloured glass and a designer cut-out panel. The dog-legged staircase leads up from the dining into the living and the bedrooms on the first floor. All furniture is custom-made and designed to be contemporary, functional and aesthetic all at once. Polished in PU and exquisitely crafted in plywood and teak wood. Window grills are designed to seem unobstructive and provide safety. All the decor elements are woven into the project to lend sophisticated and simplicity.
