St Bartholomew's School Enhancement Project

Built in 2010, St Bartholomew’s School, the school approached ArchitectureLIVE with a brief to extend the school with an additional exam space. With the school's consent, ArchitectureLIVE further developed the project brief to encompass a new multi-purpose space to provide a dedicated foyer for school and community events, a new study area for the 6th Form and extended changing facilities as well as the increased exam capacity.

The new extension matches the existing building but the design was taken a step further by adding cutting edge Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) technology to optimise daylight, provide shade as well as use the sun’s energy to produce free electricity.
